Eddy Covariance Workshop
The Center for Hydrologic Innovations hosted a full-day workshop on January 14, 2025, with scientists from LICOR (Lincoln, Nebraska) that took a diving deep into the eddy covariance method, including its theory, the instrumentation involved and the processing of data workflows. Journal of Hydrometeorology Publication
A new publication in Journal of Hydrometeorology (Alshehri et al., 2024) identifies how weather types, or different synoptic weather systems such as tropical storms, influence the occurrence of extreme rainfall within the continental United States. Prof. Enrique Vivoni inducted to Mexican Academy of Sciences
Our Center Director was recently inducted as a Corresponding Member (similar to International Fellow) of the Mexican Academy of Sciences (AMC). One of AMC’s objectives is to promote scientific development in Mexico, and to foster communication and collaboration with scholars in other countries. Congratulations Prof. Vivoni!

Frontiers in Water Publication
A new publication in Frontiers in Water (Lawless et al., 2024) examines how water management strategies have evolved in the Colorado River basin by incorporating institutional, temporal, and network structure analysis methods over the period of 1922 to 2022.
